SunGard’s NSPIS Command & Control system Goes Live at South Wales Police
SunGard has confirmed that South Wales Police Force has gone live on SunGard Vivista’s NSPIS Command & Control system. The new system replaces the Force’s Captor system (also supplied by SunGard Vivista) that had been in use for six years. The go-live was deemed a total success, with no reported problems within the first critical three hours.
WCCTV partners with T-Mobile to deliver real time remote surveillance service
WCCTV, a leading provider of Wireless CCTV surveillance systems, has launched a new 3G-enabled remote live monitoring service using T-Mobile’s 3G network to deliver high quality CCTV images at unprecedented speeds. Users now have remote access to live feeds at speeds of 14-15 frames a second, as opposed to the previous speeds of 1-2 frames a second. This means, for example, that police forces and local councils can monitor surveillance operations in real time wherever they are rather than having to be based in control centres, enabling quicker response times to incidents.
