DCLG sets out the types of issues local authorities should consider in order to be fully prepared to respond to a civil emergency.

The Department for Communities and Local Government has published the document: Local authorities’ preparedness for civil emergencies - a good practice guide, with a foreword by Penny Mordaunt MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State, Department for Communities and Local Government, and John Barradell OBE, Town Clerk and Chief Executive, City of London, Solace spokersperson for resilience and community safety.
