16 October, 2014

Arqiva will install and de-install communications equipment for vehicles belonging to the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service.

Under the terms of the contract, Arqiva will install and de-install radios, MDT and Pump Bay Voice Terminals from different types of vehicles such as officers’ cars, 4x4s, vans and fire appliances.

The contract will be carried out by Arqiva’s Secure Solutions business, which provides secure networks and infrastructure to various customers such as the Government and emergency services, as well as industry sectors such as transport and utilities.

Nigel Williams, Head of ICT at Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service, commented: “As Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service covers such a large area it is imperative that our vehicles’ equipment operates to a high standard. Arqiva has a strong track record providing secure and reliable solutions in this field, which makes us confident we will maintain these high standards across our fleet.”

Stephen, who recently took over as Director of Secure Solutions from Paul Hellings, who is now Arqiva’s Director of WiFi and Small Cells, added: “We look forward to installing essential radio and mobile data equipment to Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service. The equipment will be invaluable as they continue to keep communities safe.”
