NHS NSS major relocations programme

When NHS National Services Scotland (formerly Common Services Agency) decided to relocate its administrative functions in Edinburgh and Aberdeen it chose Faber Maunsell IT & Communications consultancy to provide ITC advice to the relocation programme, to develop and procure the ITC infrastructure requirements and to support implementation.

Key aims of the property relocations were to provide modern, flexible and efficient working environments that were equipped with an IT & comms infrastructure providing the backbone for the organisation's current needs and allow flexibility to accommodate new IT specifications and technologies as they were developed.

In a press statement, NSS's project director commented on the decision, "Faber Maunsell delivered a quality service that helped us through some difficult processes with the result that we knew we could rely on key ITC issues being delivered on programme, with solutions that suited our business needs and budgetary requirements.”

“We continue to benefit from their services as part of our ongoing property strategy implementation programme,” the project director concluded.
