Momentum is certainly building as the doors to BAPCO 2007 are only a few days away from opening, and what an event this year promises to be.

The conference, designed to meet the needs of government bodies on public safety and civil contingency service delivery is certain to draw the crowds, as will the exhibition. This issue bears testament to this and we are delighted to bring you a number of exclusive announcements that many of the suppliers will be making during the course of the event. (see page 10).

This month we have also turned our attention to the new world of collaboration technology, highlighting that an emerging generation of technology has the power to deliver higher standards and levels of collaboration that public safety and security now demand. (see page 6)

And with the advent of more and more technology, such as mobile data applications being implemented into mission critical vehicles, we take a closer look at how to avoid potentially harmful interference from conflicting applications.

As always we welcome your views, opinions and input and this month you have an even greater opportunity as the team will be available during BAPCO 2007 to meet you in person - we look forward to seeing you at the Business Design Centre...
