It will provide, through 9 newly constructed regionally located centres, advanced 999 call handling, resource mobilisation and communication technology, mutual backup between centres and the capacity to deal with high demand conditions. In short, this is an essential and pivotal project to strengthen and enhance civil resilience while driving forward fire service modernisation.

At the same time, you will manage the performance and resources within the organisation, this will include the preparation of budgets, handling employee relations and liaising with Fire & Rescue Authorities, local authorities and other emergency services to maintain a fully integrated approach to service delivery and compliance issues.

To be considered, you must possess significant senior management experience, ideally including business start-up, which may have been gained in the public or private sector. You will have built an impressive, successful track record in strategic, operational and financial planning, including performance management, as well as delivering large-scale organisational change.
