Investing in lone worker protection for public sector
Vodafone UK has confirmed the start of a programme that will provide free Lone Worker protection equipment to public sector organisations in order to research new and innovative uses of the kit in a broad range of environments.
Craig Wellman, head of Public Sector at Vodafone UK, said, "More and more public sector bodies are driving efficiency by shifting resources from the back office to the front-line and empowering their employees by making them mobile. However additional measures often need to be taken to ensure their personal safety. This scheme will be invaluable in helping us to research and demonstrate how Lone Worker protection solutions can help in a variety of scenarios."
In order to qualify for the scheme, public sector organisations must show their commitment to developing an innovative mobile working strategy. They must also provide insight how they will overcome their unique business problems with Lone Worker protection. The information will be used to develop case studies that showcase and share best practice.
Successful applicants will receive equipment for Vodafone UK's Lone Worker Protection solution - a complete system with discreet GSM phone technology integrated into an ID-badge holder, 24 x 7 manned monitoring centre and enhanced location-based services provided by the Vodafone network. The equipment is worth £155.00 per user.
The programme is open for a limited period only. See www.vodafone-business.co.uk/loneworker/t&cs.pdf for full terms and conditions.
