Dates for your diary – PSN conference
Two all-day conferences will focus on the PSN Services framework – learn to reap the benefits of the PSN agenda.
June 2012 sees the award of the PSN Services framework, following the PSN-Connectivity framework which launched earlier in the year. The Cabinet Office's PSN programme is ready to help and support the public sector to use these frameworks when procuring their network and service requirements.
But how do you use it? What are the processes to follow? More importantly, how can you ensure you reap the benefits of the PSN agenda, becoming more efficient, effective, and addressing major issues such as the shared services agenda?
These questions, and many others, will be answered at two major events that the PSNGB will be hosting along with the Cabinet Office this July, at Leeds University on Tuesday 10th and Imperial College London on Thursday 12th.
These conferences are free to attend for the public sector, as they are run by PSNGB in partnership with Cabinet Office and not a commercial organisation.
The PSNGB, is an Trade Association of nearly 30 suppliers that have worked with the Cabinet Office to bring PSN to life. It is now a formal part of the PSN Operating Model and brings industry expertise and commitment to the programme.
During the day there will be plenary sessions regarding the frameworks, the role of Government Procurement Service and the key issue of PSN compliance. Following on from these, PSNGB member organisations will be running workshops with the PSN Authority, on issues such as security, service management and shared services. The sessions will have plenty of time for Q and A's and there will also be drop in surgeries to answer any specific questions you may have.
The events will start with registration at 09.30 and finish at 15.00, allowing you plenty of time to travel, and with venues in Leeds and London, this should also make it easier for more people to attend.
