The British APCO exhibition presents a number of exciting new features for 2012

Published:
10 February, 2012

ACPO ITS will present three exciting new vehicles demonstrating the future technology for UK police and emergency service vehicles.

This is your opportunity to view two never-before-seen vehicles with Single Vehicle Architecture and the top performing Driver and Vehicle Data Management System, an advanced system that both increases vehicle safety and saves money.

Also on show is the One Box Concept Car for 2015, which showcases future technologies including 360 video, facial recognition systems, forward and rear ANPR, mobile GIS, tablet PC's and more.

These vehicle solutions were a key talking point at the recent Policing and Security show, with visitors queueing round the block to view. British APCO 2012 will present newer, never-before seen solutions which are being fast-tracked to offer a first-out opportunity to see the technologies that could be coming to the emergency services over the next 3 - 5 years.

More highlights – BlueLightCamp

BlueLightCamp is a totally new, day-long 'unconference' style event, taking place on Sunday 15th April 2012 between 9am and 5pm at Manchester Central exhibition centre. It is a free, open and fluidic day of sharing experiences, thoughts and best practice across all Blue Light Services.

BlueLightCamp is open to all the UK front-line Blue Light Services, including, though certainly not limited to fire services, police authorities, ambulance services and front-line social care providers.

For further information and to register for BlueLightCamp, visit www.bluelightcamp.org.uk

Social media surgeries

For 2012, British APCO has teamed up with specialist digital consultants Likeaword and Helpful Technology to offer Social Media Surgeries where visitors can benefit from free, one-to-one tailored support. Assistance and advice are available to help visitors consider how their organisation approaches digital comms, and how social media can be used in career development as well as in everyday life.

Appointments at the social media surgeries are free of charge to exhibition visitors on both days of the event but capacity is limited so visitors are advised to book in early at the event.
