Civica acquires Innogistic
Civica UK Ltd, the company’s wholly owned subsidiary, has acquired Innogistic Limited.
Based in Bristol, Innogistic specialises in application software and related services with particular expertise in geospatial information systems. The company is a supplier to local and central government, fire services, police and utilities. The acquisition brings specialist technology and resource to the Group, and extends Civica’s market presence at a time when effective location data management is of increasing use as a means to achieve fast, flexible and lower cost services from public safety to water utility operations.
Recent successes for Innogistic include new contracts with Conwy and South Gloucestershire councils and Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service together with winning the Best Technology Project award from Yorkshire Water.
Simon Downing, chief executive, said, “I am delighted to welcome Innogistic to the Group. The company’s customer base, skills and product set are complementary to our existing business and strengthen our market position as we continue to develop the use of our market-leading software while extending the scope and scale of related managed and outsourced services”.
Dave Roberts, managing director of Innogistic, said, “The acquisition is a very positive development for our customers, partners and employees. It provides a stronger business with a broad capability to respond to the needs of public and private organisations as they face increasing financial and management pressures, while retaining the flexibility that customers have come to expect.”
In the UK the enlarged Group supplies more than 90% of councils and police forces, with software applications supplied to all fire & rescue services in Great Britain.
