Understanding the impact of change
Tim O'Connor views recent changes to fire and emergency service communications and practice.
BAPCO is as anxious as are all the three Emergency Services to fully understand the impact of the major proposed changes to organisations which are fundamental to a peaceful and well organised society.The public are also concerned as they appreciate that the UK is the envy of the world when it comes to the Ambulance,Fire and Police. The latest uncertainty is with the Police and currently Government is pushing through it's proposals with the House of Lords expressing their view. BAPCO and its members continue to work as normal to deliver a first class sevice but all of them have reservations as to whether all the proposals will improve the service. The role of BAPCO is to advise the people that make the decisions and ensure our members are able to express their views. One thing is certain in this time of change and that is that all three Emergency will continue to be Professional and Dedicated.
