SunGard’s Vivista business unit, part of SunGard Public Sector, has been awarded a Framework Contract by OGC for the provision of products and services in those categories encompassing all of the current SunGard Command, Control & Communications (C3) solutions and its new C3-led Mobile Solutions strategy.

Convergent Solutions -provides for a solution that requires a combination of communication services and technologies.Also included are IP digitally converged solutions that combine telecoms, IT, broadcasting and multicasting, content distribution, application services including control systems to enable business to take advantage of user device independence and the other benefits that convergent, integrated services offer. Specialised Communications Solutions - Including satellite, microwave, radio, conferencing and CCTV technologies. SunGard been chosen as a supplier of Radio based solutions. These may also include the provision of an element of mobile and broadband technologies, and a range of support services including solution identification, design, development, implementation and integration; plus user training, maintenance and support or managed services, systems security and additional goods and services, where these are part of a complete solution. The first time inclusion of SunGard on the new Catalist Buying Framework, provides benefits for the company and its customers. The main focus of the framework is to provide government procurement agencies the opportunity to focus on providers for particular solutions and offers an agreed contractual framework through which to buy thus avoiding the need for extended tendering and contract negotiation phases.
