Blazepoint, a provider of rugged mobile technology and engineering, has won a contract to supply Selex Communications with a rugged mobile computer for an export contract
The ndura RUGGED Tactical Tablet, which was selected for its military pedigree and proven rugged design, is being adopted as the heart of a mobile target acquisition system. Selex Communications anticipates significant future growth in the program with additional follow-up orders over the next few years.
Blazepoint, who design and manufacture a range of rugged mobile computers and rugged printers, was asked to supply a rugged handheld device with the advantages of low power consumption, high performance computing power and the ability to add customised user interfaces and I/O ports.
The new ndura RUGGED 8.4” Tactical Tablet uses an Intel Atom processor with upgradeable and flexible computing power to support demanding field applications. Offering durable resilient data protection aimed at the most extreme military operating environments it's designed and tested to meet with military environments (MIL-STD-810F), EMC (MIL-STD-461E) and TEMPEST standards, and the tactical tablet PC also has an IP68 rating.
