A cheque for £5029 was presented to Kate Puc, Fund Raiser at Francis House by Susan Park-Hatton and Andrew Norton last month. The money, raised during the Gala Dinner at the annual BAPCO conference earlier this year, will help fund the hospice for children who are unlikely to reach adult life. Francis House costs over £1.6m per year to run, of which virtually all is raised through donations and fund raising activities such as the generosity as shown by BAPCO members.

Commenting Kate Puc said, “Francis House is all about life, love, dignity and peace. It is a placewhere joy and happiness softens the sadness and where the extraordinary care provided is made possible by the generosity of others within the community. You are a true partner in ‘keeping the heart beating’ and bringing such joy and relief to the children and their families. On behalf of the children thank you very much for your support and generosity, it is greatly appreciated.” Andrew Norton concludes, “It was great to see that the money raised through our charity collection at the 2005 Conference and Gala Dinner will be used in such a positive manner. Francis House is a bright, bubbly and energetic environment full of smiles allowing the children and their families to make the most of their time together. Many thanks to Kate and the staff at Francis House who made both Susan and myself feel very welcome during our short visit.”
