Government signs new software deal
OGCbuying.solutions has signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Agresso. This new agreement will offer all public sector organisations preferential pricing arrangements on Agresso Business World software and services.
The agreement came into effect on 1st November 2006 and is set to deliver potential savings of £12 million over the 3-year duration of the agreement. Commenting, Derek Rothwell, Director of Procurement, OGCbuying.solutions said, “I am delighted that we have set up this agreement with Agresso to supply software licences and support services to the public sector at prices which offer real value-for-money. The savings delivered by this MOU can be reinvested into front-line public services, where they will produce visible benefits to the taxpayer”.
David Myers, Director of Shared Services, Cabinet Office added, “I am delighted with this agreement between OGCbuying.solutions and Agresso. This shared service ready approach is very much in line with HMG strategy and we hope it will set a good example for others. We are keen to extend this type of agreement to similar organisations to Agresso”
