New safety alerts system for Shropshire County PTC

Shropshire County Primary Care Trust (PCT) has implemented new DATIX Safety Alerts for ease of compliance with health standards.

Using the Safety Alerts module helps the PCT ensure it complies with healthcare standards by disseminating safety alerts and other communications from the Department of Health’s Safety Alert Broadcast System (SABS). Shropshire has been using DATIX since 2000 and was keen to implement the new Safety Alerts module to help the SABS co-ordinator distribute alerts and track feedback on actions taken as a result of recommendations.

Peter Foord, Risk Advisor at Shropshire County PCT said, “Information is now recorded centrally in DATIX, the Safety Alerts module displays a list of staff who have been sent the alert and highlights where a response is still required.  We no longer have to look through piles of paper to check responses – it is now a one page job.”
