New accessory for TETRA radio

Stop Noise, a specialist in professional audio accessories for TETRA, and EADS Defence and Security have announced the introduction of a new accessory for the THR880i TETRA radio.

The camera-speaker-microphone has been specifically developed for the EAD THR880i by Stop Noise, a long-term accessory partner of EADS Secure Networks, an integrated activity of EADS Defence and Security.

The speaker-microphone features an integrated camera which can be used for photography but it is primarily intended for reading barcodes e.g. from a driving license which can then be sent over the TETRA network for a database for checking. In addition, the unit works as a normal speaker microphone and has its own keypad.
