Ambulance Trust's new software management system

NETconsent, a policy and procedure management software vendor, and partner Global Secure Systems, announces a new implementation within the North East Ambulance Service NHS Trust.

In order to help achieve some of its Information Governance targets North East Ambulance Service have purchased NETconsent’s automated policy and procedure management software that will help the Trust keep all required information on patients and staff safe and secure.

Since last December NHS organisations have been reviewing the security of their information and failure to comply with the terms and conditions stated in the Information Governance Statement of Compliance may result in the withdrawal of affected NHS Connecting for Health services.

A pilot project will distribute two policies to 5% of the workforce and 100 users of the system will have the opportunity to feedback before the full roll out. The system will allow everyone to view a complete record of all policies and procedures relevant to them anywhere and anytime while managers and auditors will have access to real-time compliance reports.

Steve Hough of the Clinical and Strategy Directorate Service Development Team said, "NETconsent is a huge leap forward, not just for our Trust but for the NHS in general. Where we lead on this, others are sure to follow."
