The test results of the public tender for the Swedish National Public Safety Network,RAKEL,have been announced.

Over 250 tests and checks were carried out by the Swedish Authorities on each type of radio from a number of suppliers over a period of two months.

The first and only products to be approved for use on this national TETRA network are Sepura radios.

The approved radio products comprise Sepura’s hand-held,mobile and gateway terminals, which are now available to all public safety users via the RAKEL catalogue.

Kenneth Hubner,Regional Director for Sepura commented,"At Sepura we are proud of this prestigious achievement. Not only was our product offering the most comprehensive submitted for trials, but our organisation was also able to provide rapid responses to the specific operational requirements set out in the tests".Mr Hubner went on to add,"In addition,on behalf of Sepura,I wish to express our gratitude to our Swedish partners, Swedish Radio Supply, for the unfaltering and consistent level of support provided during this exhaustive evaluation process".
