New CEO for SunGard Public Sector
SunGard Public Sector has announced the appointment of John Gibson to the position of Chief Executive Officer of its UK business.
Mr. Gibson, who previously held executive-level positions with Anite and Bull, and most recently served as Chief Operating Officer, Government Sector of Xansa, replaces Bruce Brain, who founded the original company more than 36 years ago.
Commenting on the new appointment Gil Santos, chief executive officer of SunGard’s public sector business, said, “John brings a broad range of technology leadership to his new role at SunGard Public Sector UK. We are expanding our business internationally and I expect John will provide the mix of leadership and innovation to complement our ambitious goals. We wish Bruce all the best in his future endeavours and thank him for his decades of hard work and dedication.”
