Send Word Now and Office Shadow Partner to Integrate Business Continuity Planning and On-Demand Alerting
Send Word Now, a provider of on-demand alerting and response services, has announced a partnership with Office Shadow, authors of Shadow-Planner, web-based Business Continuity Management software. The two companies have integrated alerting and planning functionality.
Office Shadow’s Shadow-Planner application helps multiple people within an organization contribute to building a business continuity plan in the simplest way, via email. In today’s environment of employee and asset accountability, advanced continuity planning is essential. Office Shadow has integrated with Send Word Now’s alerting and response services, resulting in an action-oriented service that allows users to store and retrieve all types of plans, select appropriate actions required and send out two-way voice and text alerts in real time. Alerts can be activated from a PC or a BlackBerry device to mobilize and respond to the incident.
Unexpected disasters such as the current California wildfires and acts of violence such as the Virginia Tech shootings have generated increased attention on the value of both scenario planning and real-time communications during an event.
