Editor's Letter
Welcome to a New Year and a new look Journal.
Keeping in line with the needs and requirements of all civil contingency responders, we have introduced a number of new features to The BAPCO Journal, all of which have been designed to help meet CCA requirements.
Each article, case study and opinion piece has been carefully selected and written to ensure the maximum amount of information is provided on how differing public safety organisations are approaching key, topical issues such as business continuity, interoperability, and of course, the use of all forms of communication and information management.
During the course of the next few weeks, we will be calling on you to discuss what applications you are currently installing and how we can help you share that information with the public safety community at large.

Major challenges for 2007
We at BAPCO hope you find the new format of our Journal stimulating and interesting. The front cover is an obvious change but the style inside the Journal together with the articles covering all communication aspects of the Emergency Services business together with technical solutions should prompt debate. This would be an exciting development and will allow members to express opinions and expert advice which will prove invaluable in providing the vital service our public demand and expect. Your views on this new style will be important to the editorial staff and I know they will appreciate feedback from you.
