Chronos extends its GPS Product Range
Chronos Technology has announced the UK and Scandinavian launch of a new low cost, high performance OEM surface mount GPS receiver module, the CW20, from its US based partner Navsync.
The CW20's robust and configurable design utilises NMEA standard and Navsync specific commands to communicate with the host system. The low power (17 mA while tracking) and small size (21.0mm x 16.4mm x 3.5mm) support the most rigorous of battery-powered applications while storing relevant GPS information in non-volatile memory.
The CW20 benefits from low signal strength tracking to -150dBm for urban canyons and low power consumption, making it ideal for a variety of mobile applications.
Typical applications which will leverage the low power and low cost features will include WiMax, Femtocells, Distress Beacons and Hand Held Instrumentation.
