Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service (MAWWFRS) becomes the latest brigade to implement Innogistic’s CFRMIS (Community Fire Risk Management Information System) making CFRMIS the most widely used fire safety software in the UK and  operational at 60% of Fire and Rescue Services.

CFRMIS is used across the entire spectrum of fire safety activities and this includes the collection, maintenance and management of accurate premises records for fire safety operations and risk intelligence It combines a comprehensive premises records database with sophisticated job management tools for managing the whole fire safety inspection process.

Chris Davies, Head of Community Risk Reduction at MAWWFRS said, “We cover the largest operational area of the three Welsh Fire and Rescue Services so our requirements for Fire Safety Management are particularly challenging. We were very pleased with the breadth of capabilities built into CFRMIS and were particularly impressed by the results the solution has been achieving at other Fire and Rescue Services. Once we decided upon implementing CFRMIS, we were also very impressed by the excellent project management, support and technical backup services offered by Innogistic. The whole project has progressed to full implementation incredibly smoothly and in a very short period of time.”

Andy Carter, Emergency Services Business Manager for Innogistic said “More and more emphasis is being placed on prevention and risk reduction in addition to the more traditional intervention role of the fire service. This is a rapidly growing area of responsibility for brigades with home fire safety checks alone running into many thousands of jobs each year. CFRMIS was developed in close co-operation with a number of UK brigades and includes all the community safety requirements needed for the modern fire and rescue service”.

CFRMIS also offers mobile data-collection capabilities which are deployed in the field using tablet laptops. This feature recently achieved 15% productivity improvements when implemented at Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service(6). Chris Davies said “Thanks to the speed with which Innogistic implemented CFRMIS, we are now able to start using this mobile facility. Already we are finding it is making a difference and we have high hopes of achieving similar efficiency gains to our colleagues in Hampshire”.
