Interest high for Command Support Regional Workshop Masterclasses, Sept - Nov 2009
With growing adoption of the Command Support System by UK and Australasian fire and rescue services has come increased interest in how the system will impact on, and support, Command Support doctrine and improved operational practice, for both single and multi-agency operations.
To explore these issues, and in response to many requests for more information from fire service personnel, VectorCommand, in partnership with various fire and rescue services, is organising a series of Command Support Regional Workshops and Masterclasses throughout the UK at various dates between September and November. At these half-day workshops, officers will be able to learn more about technological support for their Command Support teams, lessons learned from some of the early installations of the Command Support System (Royal Berkshire FRS, South Yorkshire FRS and London Fire Brigade), and will also have the opportunity to participate in hands-on demonstrations of the Command Support System and related technologies (imagery, cameras, UAVs etc). Masterclasses will be presented by some of the UK's most senior and experienced fire commanders.
Delegates will also be able to see the new Command Support System 'Pod', a portable, self-contained unit customised for easy, flexible deployment in buildings, vehicles and temporary emergency command centres. To register your interest in attending these free workshops, or to learn more about available dates and locations as these are confirmed, please email us at rob.munro@vectorcommand.com
