TETRA World Congress returns to Europe
The international TETRA community will meet in Munich for the TETRA World Congress 26th – 29th May.
After the phenomenal success of the 2008 Congress in Hong Kong - which attracted over 2000 visitors from over 60 different countries - the Congress returns to Europe for what is expected to be the largest TWC ever.
Over 2500 representatives of the public safety and security services, transport companies, oil and gas, military, manufacturing, utilities and other users of critical communications will join the TETRA Association and senior industry figures to discuss the latest developments and future requirements of TETRA.
A new theme for 2009
The theme for this year’s Congress is TETRA: An Evolving Solution.
The packed conference will focus on how TETRA is evolving to meet the needs of today’s users. The sessions will examine topics including; the latest development in data applications and the first TEDS implementation; new business models to spread the benefits of TETRA and reduce costs; the development of TETRA Broadband; plus a new stream dedicated to using TETRA with complementary technologies.
Presentations feature representatives from public safety and security agencies; transport; oil and gas; utilities; manufacturing; mining; military; network operators; applications developers; ETSI and the TETRA Association
The innovative programme means that the delegates will be more involved in the programme than ever before. Interactive features include audience voting where the delegates can have their say on the key issues facing TETRA, discussion sessions where the audience set the questions, plus the chance for visitors to send us videos of where they work to be played around the Congress on TETRA TV.
The meeting Place for the international TETRA community
Produced by IIR Conferences in association with the TETRA Association, the TETRA World Congress is the world’s largest TETRA conference and exhibition. The event attracts users, manufacturers, network operators, application developers and integrators from around the world.
This year the Congress is expected to attract over 2500 visitors from over 70 different countries, with over 100 leading suppliers participating in the TWC Exhibition.
As the TETRA World Congress returns to Europe, we are looking forward to an outstanding event.
Key features for 2009 include:
- over 25 different focussed streams, seminars, plenary sessions and masterclasses featuring over 150 separate presentations
- an exhibition featuring over 100 of the leading TETRA vendors and developers
- simultaneous English-German interpretation
- programme innovation and interactive polling allowing delegates to have their say on the future of TETRA
- our very own TETRAfest, celebrating the success of TETRA
- Co-location with the new Critical Communications Congress, giving delegate an even wider choice of sessions and topics
A second conference
A new conference that we will be running beside the TETRA World Congress is called the Critical Communications Congress (CCC). This will be co-located with the TWC and will run 26th – 28th May. The CCC takes broader approach on mission critical communication then what is taken in the TWC – so will attract a wider audience range. Delegates will have the ability to attend seminars from both congresses, which enables them to interchange and really tailor their learning to their individual needs. I would just like to offer you the opportunity to provide media support both events. If you are happy to support the CCC also please let me know and we can organise how best to work together for the congress.
Below is some information on the CCC.
