The Highways Agency has appointed Atos Origin to manage its information technology provision and infrastructure - the contract began in December 2007.
The Highways Agency has appointed Atos Origin to manage its information technology provision and infrastructure commencing December 2007.
Atos Origin will now be responsible for the provision of a service desk providing support and maintenance of IT facilities for 2,500 staff as well as the on-going support of a large and complex suite of applications.
The five year contract, worth over £75m, will mean the transfer of all IT infrastructure and in excess of 120 staff and contractors to Atos Origin, with the Agency hoping to save a minimum 15% of their annual IT budget.
