Consortium leads NERVE project to successful conclusion.
Imass Ltd, has successfully led a consortium of companies including 1Spatial, Newcastle University and Ordnance Survey, through a gruelling 2 year research and development project.
The project called (NERVE) North East Regional Visualisation Environment was part-funded by the DTI under its Technology Programme. The aim of the project was to construct an innovative software solution enabling organisations to share an interactive real-time digital model of any geographic region, within a web-services environment, a requirement of the recent civil contingencies bill and traffic management act.
In order to prototype the solution and demonstrate its abilities for a number of scenarios the North East area was selected by the consortium.
